In early 2023, while working in logistics and order-management systems, I (Vivek Date) realized that conversational bots were losing user intent in translation. Users would reply in vernacular or in unconventional formats, and the bot would get lost. That moment planted the seed for Walrus

Over time, with a dedicated team of engineers and AI researchers, we evolved from a “dumb bot” into Intuitive Companions that understand context, culture, and natural flows of language.

And Thus we began building, carefully, something smarter: conversations that adapt to people’s language, style, and intent while keeping razor focused on the goals set by the builder – You!

… and Within A Song written by The Beatles about nothing but a made up mumbo jumbo, I found A Wink and Nod to spare for the Contemporary.

Meet The Founder

Vivek Vijay Date is an astute storyteller whose journey spans music, writing, and technology. With over 12 years of experience, he has built products, crafted stories, and performed on global stages—consistently turning ambition into action.

In music, Vivek chose the road less traveled, leaving the country over chasing Bollywood in 2016 to pursue an independent career abroad. Over the years, he toured across 17 countries, performed more than 1,000 concerts in 50+ cities, and released over 20 works across various bands and solo projects.

From house band performances in Bangkok and Saigon performing at international festivals such as Woodstock Poland and Stadfest Hamburg, Vivek built a truly global presence before returning to India in 2022.

As a writer, Vivek brings the same intensity and depth to his work. His debut novel The Swan Song (2023) is a poignant tale of love, loss, and destiny, while his comic book Ladders (2024) blends gritty realism with dark humor in a story of youth, conscience, and chaos. His writing reflects his instinct for weaving human emotions into compelling narratives across formats—be it novels, comics, or scripts.

Educated in Computer Science at Fergusson College, Pune, and International Business at SIMSR, Mumbai, Vivek blends technical expertise with creative vision.
